WABASH – Samantha Lynn Hopkins, 30, Vernon Manor Home for Children, Wabash, died at 10:16 p.m. Feb. 16, 2016. She was born Dec. 14, 1985, in Lafayette, to Bret G. and Jennifer Sue Wine Hopkins. She lived at Vernon Manor since 1999. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, watching movies, taking walks and activities with Carey Services. She is survived by her parents, Fargo, N.D.; a brother, Dirk James Hopkins, Lansing, Mich.; her grandparents, Dale and Karen Wine, Pierceton, and Fred Muck, Warsaw; aunts and uncles: Chris and Lisa Wine, Rochester; Mike and Julie Wine, Winona Lake; Bart Hopkins, Madeira Beach, Fla.; several cousins; her family at Vernon Manor and her special friend, Penny Ohara. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash, with Abe Hepler officiating.
