Editor, Times-Union: 1 Tim. 1:15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Salvation For Sinners This is the most wonderful kind of salvation. It is not a salvation from poverty, or from sickness, or from war, or from ignorance, not even from bad government. These are good things that people think we need to be saved from but they are only temporary but still many people think that for the greater part of their lives. Hopefully, we begin to see things differently; what we need is to perceive at last that there is a deadlier evil which lies behind all others and is the originating cause an evil which the Bible calls “sin” yes sin, not in the high faulting modern psychological sense, but in the plain old fashion and stark sense of the word. After all, we live in a disillusioned age, what we need is to have salvation from our “sins.” This is an everlasting and true salvation and that is why we come to Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ came into the world. He is the most amazing kind of Savior. Mankind lives in a world that is full of people that need a Savior. Jesus Christ came into the world he descended from heaven on high. He is Holy, and He took on the lowliest kind of birth, He became a man, and was born in a stable; with the animals, and the poorest of people. He did this with grace, mercy and most of all “love” all of which mankind needs. He is ‘the one and only,” the Son of God the Father, the “Amazing Grace” Savior, the Savior which fills all the requirements that mankind needs. He is Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Savior of the World. But, most of all, the Savior from “SIN.” Here is the most wonderful message, the message of Salvation, and worthy for all to accept, especially at this time of year. It is absolutely what you need. You need to sincerely accept him as your savior so he may live with you forever. Confess your need for a savior as a sinner. If not you, who? If not now, when? If not here, where? Jesus is the reason for the season! Jon Siesennop Warsaw
