FORT WAYNE - Seventeen county spelling bee winners from northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio will compete at the annual area spelling bee at 10 a.m. Saturday at Anthis Career Center.
Spelling begins at 10 a.m. The winner of the area spelling bee will compete at the 79th annual Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.
The local competitor from Kosciusko County is Liesl Schroedl, Sacred Heart Elementary School.
