A second-grade student at Sacred Heart School achieved a new Accelerated Reader Record. Caroline Alderfer accomplished 1,500 percent of her reading goal. At the first quarter awards ceremony, she was awarded for her accomplishment. She broke the previous record, which was about 1,000 percent. Students are awarded every quarter who make or surpass their goal. Each grading period, students who achieve 100 percent of their goal receive a dress pass. The students who achieve 150 percent or more of their goal receive a dress pass and an invitation to the "Above and Beyond Party.” There are also bonus incentives.
