Sacred Heart School Starts Lego Club

Posted

A new after-school club for students in kindergarten through sixth grade began last Friday at Sacred Heart School. Students interested in building and exploring Lego structures met in the school gym. The club is sponsored by the Warsaw Community Public Library. Two of the club directors are employees of the library, Duane Herendeen and Susie Bolland. Bolland is also a SHS parent. Also helping with the club is Connie Lozano, another SHS parent. Students enjoy healthy snacks while participating in creating structures with Legos supplied by the public library. They share their structures with each other and develop skills as part of the school’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Program. Pictured are Bolland and Herendeen, along with a few of the 60-plus students, who are wearing their Lego Club shirts while creating the Lego structures.
