Sacred Heart School held its annual Veterans Day program Tuesday. Father Phil DeVolder opened the service with a prayer and blessing. The school had an opening flag ceremony and the pledge was recited with Sacred Heart's Girl Scout Troop 10132. Principal James Faroh gave a speech of remembrance and thanks to all veterans and student council members presented a Veterans Day reading. The special veteran guests, along with the students and staff who invited them, were introduced by Faroh. The veterans received a present and a certificate. A Veterans Day video was shown, and the Sacred Heart Singers performed “God Bless America” and a patriotic medley of songs. The school's Cub Scout Troop 3819 conducted the closing flag ceremony. Pictured are the veterans who attended the program and the students or staff member who invited them.
