Sacred Heart School Green Team Builds An Edible Landfill

The Sacred Heart Green Team, an after-school environmental enrichment group, met with Shelly Heckert from the KC Recycling Depot. Heckert told the students about all the different materials that make up a landfill. Students ‘built’ their own landfill with corresponding edible items. The students were reminded of what to limit and what not to throw in the trash.
