Eighteen Sacred Heart Students in kindergarten through sixth grade participated in the annual Warsaw Community Schools Chess Tournament at Madison Elementary Nov. 20. In kindergarten, the fifth-place trophy went to Eliott Prescott. Corbin Hollowell, German Flores and Kyle Showley received chess medallions for participation. In second grade, fifth-place trophy went to Luke Adamiec. Zachary Martinez, Cole Schmidt and John Michael Stutzman received chess medallion for participation. In third grade, Kennedy Glenn, Brock Hogenson and Joe Wilkinson received chess medallions for participation. In fourth grade, Nolan Knight and Dawson Vilamaa received chess medallion for participation. In fifth grade, first-place trophy went to Brandon Chan and third-place trophy went to Austin Hollowell. Macy Glenn, Abby Serbousek and Josh Sponseller received chess medallions for participation.
