SOUTH WHITLEY – A South Whitley man has died from injuries suffered in a Saturday morning crash in Whitley County. According to a Whitley County personal injury and fatal report, Michael L. Sills, 66, South Whitley, was traveling westbound on CR 1000S at 8:40 a.m. in South Whitley approaching the intersection of Ind. 105, when he disregarded a stop sign and struck a second vehicle, driven by Kyle D. Whitehead, 24, Nappanee. Whitehead was not injured, but Sills died later that evening in Parkview Regional Health Center in Fort Wayne after suffering head injuries in the collision. The accident is still under investigation, according to the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department.
