SYRACUSE – Ryan L. Owen, 54, Syracuse, passed away Dec. 7, 2015. He was born May 20, 1961, in Goshen, to Robert L. “Bob” and Jean A. Moser Owen. On April 14, 1984, in Syracuse, he married Vicki L. Evans, who survives in Syracuse. He was a lifetime Syracuse area resident. He graduated in 1979 from Wawasee High School, Syracuse and in 1983 from Indiana University, Bloomington, and Life Chiropractic College, Atlanta, Ga., with his doctorate degree. He was the owner and operator of Stellhorn Chiropractic, Fort Wayne, since 1989. He formerly attended St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, Syracuse, and was a member of several chiropractic associations. Also surviving are his mother, Jean Owen, Goshen; a sister, Renita de la Garza, Muncie; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Greg and Deb Evans, Holland, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Sherri Evans-Lawton, Wasola, Mo.; a niece, Allison Evans. New Orleans, La.; four nephews: Graham (and spouse Justine) de la Garza, Germany; Benjamin Evans, New Paltz, N.Y.; Dustin Evans-Lawton and Tanner Evans-Lawton, both of Wasola, Mo. He was preceded in death by his father and brother-in-law, Mark Evans-Lawton. Private family services will be held.
