Ruth Maxine Haney, 93, of Warsaw, passed away at 5:47 a.m. May 4, 2010, in her residence.

She was born Nov. 6, 1916, in Prairie Township, to Millard and Mabel Anna Martin Watkins. On Nov. 6, 1938, she married Ward Albert Haney, who died March 26, 1978.

A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she was a homemaker and attended Clunette United Methodist Church. She was Volunteer of the Year in 2008 for the Red Cross Blood Mobile. She worked at Rajowalt Orthopedic Co., Atwood, for more than 30 years, and various restaurants in the area until 1997. She loved gardening and flowers.

Surviving are two daughters, June (and spouse Larry) Thomas, Warsaw, and Judy (and spouse Ronald) Gerard, South Whitley; two sons, Robert (and spouse Doris) Haney, Warsaw, and William (and spouse Linda) Haney, Syracuse; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Raymond Haney; and a grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with the Rev. Scott Meneely and Pastor Mike Beezley officiating. Burial will be in Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
