Ruth M. McCool, 85, of Warsaw, died Feb. 12, 2008, in the residence of her daughter, Darlene Holsclaw, Warsaw.
She was born Feb. 22, 1922, in Eupore, Miss., to David and Pearl Maroney Prescott. On July 6, 1942, in Columbus, Miss., she married Walter McCool, who died April 26, 1986.
She moved to Warsaw from Mississippi 45 years ago and was a housewife.
Surviving are two daughters, Darlene (and spouse David) Holsclaw, Warsaw, and Debbie McClelland, Atlanta Ga.; a son, Steve (and spouse Maria) McCool, Morehead City, N.C.; seven grandchildren: Christopher and Jennifer Holsclaw, both of Warsaw; Regina Logan, San Diego, Calif.; Stephen McCool, Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida; Christina Clark, Indianapolis; and Eric and Erica McClelland, both of McDonough, Ga.; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elbert Lee Whitley, Alabama, and Elzie Whitley, Warsaw; and a sister, Johnnie Mae Lee, Alabama. She was preceded in death by a son, David McCool, who died Jan. 1, 1997; and two sisters, Edna Earl Saint and May Lee "Maddie."
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Chaplain Bob Jorboe and the Rev. Rick Sprong officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
