Ruth L. Kehler, 100, of Grace Village Retirement Community, 337 Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake, passed away at 12:45 p.m. May 26, 2012, in Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake.
She was born July 3, 1911, in Etna Green, to Franklin and Clara Pheister Clabaugh. On Oct. 19, 1929, she married Dale Clinton Kehler, who died June 1, 1997.
She lived most of her life in Kosciusko County and spent her retirement years in Florida. For most of her life she was a homemaker and later managed a variety store in Bradenton, Fla., and sold Fuller Brush Cosmetics, Warsaw. She was a 1928 graduate of Etna Green High School and was a member of the Tuesday Dramatic Club.
Surviving are a son, Larry (and spouse Ann) Kehler, O’Fallon, Mo.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Bill Shipman. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Warsaw.
