BERNE - Ruth G. Circle, 90, of Swiss Village Retirement Community, Berne, entered into the presence of her loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at 10:03 p.m. Dec. 1, 2008.
She was born Feb. 24, 1918, near Pierceton in Whitley County, to Fredrick and Ada M. Tatman Froh, who preceded her in death. On March 28, 1937, she married Paul Leon Circle, who died March 15, 1995.
She was a 1936 Pierceton High School graduate and a homemaker. She was a member of Grace Bible Church, Berne, and had been very active at First Baptist Church, Warsaw, for many years. She served her Lord as a longtime Sunday school teacher and excelled at providing hospitality for missionaries and others in the church congregation. From 1956-74, she and her husband owned Argonne Apartments, Warsaw.
Surviving are three children: Chris (and spouse John) Bounds, Seymour; the Rev. Chuck (and spouse Sherry) Circle, Berne; and Ron (and spouse Kathy) Circle, Blaine, Minn.; five grandchildren: Cathy and John G. Bounds, Seymour; Cindy (and spouse August) Kuehn, Niles, Mich.; Paul Circle, Fort Wayne; and Lynette Circle, Berne; two great-grandchildren, Emily and Audrey Kuehn, Niles. She was the last of her siblings and was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Warren Froh, and two sisters, Irene Morrison and Catherine Froh.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Swiss Village auditorium with the Rev. Vaughn Sprunger officiating. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. in Spring Creek Cemetery, near Sidney.
Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at Swiss Village auditorium.
