Ruth Evelyn Wiard
Ruth Evelyn Wiard, 78, of Claypool, passed away at 4:15 p.m. April 26, 2012, in Kosciusko Community Hospital Warsaw. She was born Nov. 28, 1933, in Yale, Ill., to Gail G. and Lela Gifford Jeffers. On June 17, 1965, in Warsaw, she married Paul E. Wiard, who survives. A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she was a homemaker, a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and a mission worker for the United Methodist Church. Also surviving are three sons: Bruce Wiard, Macy; David A. (and spouse Linda) Wiley, Warsaw; and Rex D. (and spouse Lorraine) Wiley, Arcadia; four daughters: Janet E. (and spouse Phil) Schoonover, Wheaton; Joyce K. (and spouse Richard) Harding, Mentone; Karen R. (and spouse Scott) Schuster, Fishers; and Teresa J. (and spouse Dathan) Reed, Claypool; a brother, Roy L. Jeffers, Mentone; a sister, Loise Nichols, Pierceton; 23 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, with Pastor Robert R. Conelley officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery.
