NORTH MANCHESTER - Ruth E. Flora, 94, of North Manchester, died at 5 p.m. July 26, 2007, at Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.

She was born Nov. 23, 1912, in Wabash County, to George W. Karn and Martha E. Moubray, who both preceded her in death. On May 17, 1941, she married Charles E. Flora, who survives.

She was a homemaker and clerk at the former G.C. Murphy Dime Store in North Manchester. She was a member of North Manchester Old German Baptist Brethren Church. She was baptized in North Manchester Old German Baptist Brethren Church Nov. 17, 1935. She graduated from Chester High School in 1931.

Surviving are three sons, Chester (and wife Ginny) Flora; Dale (and wife Jean) Flora and Max (and wife Patti) Flora, all of North Manchester; a daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Martha Sue) Betten; a brother, Ray Karn; and a sister, Dorothy Thomas, all of North Manchester; nine grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at North Manchester Old German Baptist Brethren Church, North Manchester, with Home Brethren officiating. Burial will be in Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery, North Manchester.
