Ruth Constance Kowalski Chapleski, 90, of 1634 S. County Farm Road, Warsaw, died at 12:25 a.m. Jan. 15, 2010, in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born June 12, 1919, in Chicago, to Joseph and Marie Haynie Kowalski. On Oct. 29, 1946, in Chicago, she married Richard Chapleski, who died in 1983.
She lived most of her adult life in Chesterton. She was a store clerk for 15 years.
Surviving are a brother, Jerry Kowalski, Chicago; a sister, Fern Loyka, Midway, Ark.; a daughter, Teri Jarrette, Warsaw; and a granddaughter. She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
No calling is planned.
