SYRACUSE – Ruth Ann Voorheis, 68, of Syracuse, passed away May 7, 2013, in her residence. She was born Sept. 25, 1944, in Marinette, Mich., to William and Ruth Olson Smeester. She married Ric Workman, who died in 2012. Living in Syracuse since 1983, she was a local business owner and a homemaker. She attended Clunette United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, Garin Kirk (and spouse Kelly) Voorheis, Syracuse, and Michael Ray (and spouse Leslie) Voorheis, Nashville, Tenn.; a daughter, Amanda (and spouse Joe) Workman-Bender, Elkhart; two grandchildren, Brandin and Brittin Bender. A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458 E. CR 1000N, Syracuse, officiated by Mike Beezley of Clunette United Methodist Church.
