SYRACUSE – Ruth Ann Marner, 15, of Cromwell, died at 5:50 a.m. May 20, 2013, in Riley Hospital for Children, Indianapolis. She was born Aug. 17, 1997, in Goshen, to Timothy L. and Nancy J. Sparkman Marner. She lived most of her life in the Cromwell/Syracuse area and was a freshman at Wawasee High School, Syracuse. She was a member of Sea Scouts in Enchanted Hills and formerly attended Calvary United Lutheran Church, Cromwell, and Salem United Baptist Church, Rome City. Surviving are her mother, Nancy Sparkman (and Dannie Jacobs), Cromwell; her father, Tim Marner, Elkhart; two brothers, Russell Marner, Cromwell, and Brian Marner, Topeka; grandparents, Ruth and Bill Hart, Somerset, Ky.; and a stepsister, Ruby Martin, Claypool. She was preceded in death by her stepmother and grandparents. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Salem United Baptist Church, Rome City. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Pippa Passes, Ky.
