Russell Eric Johnson, 50, of Warsaw, died at 7:47 p.m. May 14, 2009, at Warsaw Meadows.

He was born Dec. 13, 1958, in Danville, Ill. to George W. and Peggy L. Hazelbaker Johnson. On Feb. 24, 2004, in Webster, N.Y., he married Paula Carlotta, who survives.

He worked at RR Donnelley most recently and was a self-employed building contractor. He attended Warsaw Community Church. He lived most of his life in Warsaw and Danville, Ill.

Also surviving are four daughters, Angel; Christy; Daisy and Brandy; two sons; Russell Johnson Jr. and Joshua Johnson; two stepdaughters, Doniella Currier and Mandy Currier, both of Warsaw; a stepson, Keith Natalie, U.S. Army, Fort Benning, Ga.; 27 grandchildren; three brothers, George (and spouse Anna) Johnson, New Orleans, La.; Harry Johnson, Warsaw; Robert Johnson, Wisconsin; three sisters; Judy (and spouse Fred) Schultz and Melissa Marie Siegler, all of Warsaw; Vicky (and spouse Mark) Flora, Lima, Ohio; and a special goodbye to Jay and Shelley Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Barry Johnson, who died April 14, 1990.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Denny Wilson, Warsaw Community Church, officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
