Ruby Ruth Drane, 87, Warsaw, passed away at 3:10 p.m. Jan. 3, 2014, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was born Oct. 2, 1916, in Warsaw, to Samuel LeRoy and Lizzy Ellen Foreman Evans. She was a lifetime Warsaw resident. The Westminster Hotel of Winona Lake and the Warsaw Dry Cleaners and Laundry formerly employed her. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Warsaw. Surviving are her two sons, Ronald D. (and spouse Gloria) Carper, Noxon, Mont., and Jerry D. (and spouse Mary Lou) Carper, Indianapolis; a daughter, Linda (and spouse William) Brigham, Fort Wayne; two brothers, Earl and Ralph Evans, both of Warsaw; three sisters: Lillian Lozier, Mary Beth (and spouse John) Camden and Thelma Boyer, all of Warsaw; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
