NORTH MANCHESTER - Ruby Parker, 102, formerly of Silver Lake, died at 7:25 a.m. Nov. 27, 2007, in Union Hospital, Terre Haute.
She was born Sept. 11, 1905, in Silver Lake, to Oliver and Pearl Heater Sells. On May 21, 1925, she married Carl Huram Parker, who died Sept. 12, 1983.
She was assistant cashier at the former Commercial State Bank, Silver Lake, for 43 years. She was a member of Center United Methodist Church, Silver Lake, and was a 1924 Silver Lake High School graduate.
Surviving are a daughter, Margaret (and spouse Charles) Hopkins, Terre Haute; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor Terry Marker officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Calling is two hours prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home.
