PLYMOUTH – Ruby M. Amor, 82, of 8282 Rose Road, Plymouth, passed away at 8:20 a.m. Nov. 8, 2012, in her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 15, 1930, in Rolling Prairie, to Gordon and Dorothy Stover Lent. On Oct. 23, 1989, she married Leo E. Amor, who died March 4, 2000.
She worked many years for Vic's Laundromat. She was past president of the Eagle’s Lodge, a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion and an active member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. She enjoyed quilting and needlepoint and had made many beautiful handmade items for her family and friends. Her greatest joy was her family. She will be sadly missed.
Surviving are two sons, Richard “Dick” Piper and George Piper, both of Plymouth; two daughters, Donna Eggert, Bremen, and Jenny Ames, Lakeland, Fla.; a sister, Barbara (and spouse Max) Nemeth, Mauldin, S. C.; a brother, Harold “Butch” (and spouse Yvonne) Lent, Sidney; a sister-in-law, Gloria Lent, Nappanee; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband; three brothers, Stanely, Jerry and William Lent; a sister, Marjorie Bell; and a grandson, Lawrance “Alan” Lester.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, with Sister Joan Scott officiating. Burial will be in Tyner Cemetery
