SYRACUSE – Ruby J. Bell, 83, of Syracuse, passed away Jan. 17, 2013, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Syracuse. She was born July 7, 1929, in Huntington, to Rue and Goldie Feighner Hunnicutt. On July 2, 1949, she married Richard Bell, who died in 2003. She was a lifelong area resident and retired from the U.S. Postal Service, Syracuse. Surviving are three sons: Richard (and spouse Vickie) Bell, Texas; Robert Bell, Florida; and Rodney (and spouse Nancy) Bell, Syracuse; a daughter, Rhonda (and spouse Scott) Freeman, Columbia City; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Redding, Bluffton; Eva Schliesser and Lucille (and spouse C.R.) Hews, all of Florida; and a brother, Max Hunnicutt, California. She also was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458 E. CR 1000N, Syracuse, with Pastor Ray Olson officiating.
