Ruby Alice Hossler, 89, Warsaw, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 5, 2013, in Mason Health Care and Rehabilitation. She was born Nov. 20, 1923, in Pierceton, to Alfred and Ethel Gripe Kyler. On Feb. 2, 1946, she was united in marriage to Kenneth William Hossler, who preceded her in death Oct. 30, 2000. She was a lifetime Kosciusko County resident and a graduate of Sidney High School Class of 1942. She was employed at Whitko Schools as a secretary from 1963 to 1989, and she was a greeter at Walmart, Warsaw, from 1989 to 2008. She was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary, a poll worker in Sidney, and a member of the Christian Congregational Church of North Manchester. Survivors include a son, Hal Hossler, Warsaw, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Renee Hossler, March 25, 1955; brothers Merl and Max Kyler; and a sister, Ruth Imler. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery.
