A couple of road projects will close two intersections beginning Monday.
Fort Wayne Street at the intersection of Detroit Street, and Rozella Road at the intersection of Ind. 15, will be closed.
Indiana American Water Company will be working on the water main replacement project along Detroit Street, necessitating the need to close East Fort Wayne Street at the intersection of Detroit Street beginning Monday morning.
The contractor will complete the final tie-in of the pipe and will pour the final concrete road surface. Indiana Department of Transportation requires a concrete cure time that will keep East Fort Wayne Street closed until July 25, weather dependent.
Eastbound Fort Wayne Street traffic will not be able to turn north or left nor travel straight across Detroit Street.
Traffic will only be able to turn west (left) on Fort Wayne Street, and southbound Detroit Street will not be able to turn east (left) on Fort Wayne Street. Motorists should find alternate routes and avoid this area if at all possible.
The intersection improvements of Ind. 15 and CR 100S (Rozella Road) will close Rozella at the intersection of Ind. 15 Monday morning.
The closure is expected to last approximately 14 calendar days and reopen by July 31. This closure is for roadway widening, new drainage structures and curb and gutter.
After Rozella is reopened to traffic, there may still be some flagging operations to complete the road construction and installation of a new traffic signal. During the closure, local traffic will use the posted detour on Logan Street.
Traffic restrictions on Ind. 15 (Fisher Avenue) remain.
