WAKARUSA - Roy Nusbaum, 92, formerly of Granger, died at 1:55 a.m. Oct. 8, 2008, in LuAnn Nursing Home, Nappanee, where he resided.
He was born May 31, 1916, in Wakarusa, to Edward and Lizzie Metzler Nusbaum.
Living most of his life in the Granger area, he was a 1934 Wakarusa High School graduate. He played in badminton tournaments all over the United States and was a member of the U.S. Badminton Association. He was a carpenter and retired from Terry Horein Builders.
Surviving are four nieces, including Debbie French and Beth Hostetler, both of Nappanee; and two nephews, including John Atkinson, Nappanee. He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Wakarusa, with the Rev. Larry Fourman officiating. Burial will be in Olive West Cemetery, Wakarusa.
Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
