SYRACUSE – Roy Messer, 61, of North Webster, passed away April 15, 2013, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born Sept. 7, 1951, to Irwin and Dorothy Smith Messer. On Nov. 25, 1971, he married Bonnie LeCounty, who died in 2012. He retired from Dana Corp., Syracuse, in 2003, after 31 years of service. Surviving are three sons: Roy Messer Jr., Greensburg; Clinton Messer, Kendallville; and Troy (and spouse Nicole) Messer, Goshen; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Rita Dobson; and six brothers: Harold, Granville, Corbett, Wayne, Burley and Irvin Messer Jr. He also was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458 E. CR 1000N, Syracuse. Burial will be in Orange Township Cemetery, Brimfield.
