MENTONE - Roy A. Eckert, 58, of 7278 Broadtail Trail Beaver Dam Lake, Claypool, passed away Feb. 10, 2011, peacefully surrounded by family.
He will be sadly missed with grief greater than tears and by all whose lives he touched. He will never be forgotten and always in our hearts. God saw he was getting tired and so he closed his arms around him and whispered come to me.
He was born Dec. 24, 1952, in Fairbanks, Alaska, to Merl and Betty Sisk Eckert. He had worked at the Cardinal Center, Warsaw; he had previously lived in Florida, and while living there he had worked at ARC and was involved in the Action Club that was part of the ARC.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Eckert, Beaver Dam Lake; a sister, Tina (and spouse Christopher) Cook, Warsaw; and a brother, Michael (and spouse Mary) Eckert, Beaver Dam Lake; several nieces and nephews and also several great-nieces and -nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Merl Eckert, and two brothers, Jay and Shaun Eckert.
Services will be held at a later dater. King Memorial Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Roy.
