Both Kosciusko County Sheriff Aaron Rovenstine and Grace College Professor Mark Soto were scheduled to be in court today but their attorneys waived their initial hearings. Initial hearings are typically set up to confirm that all parties are represented by legal counsel. Rovenstine will be represented by James Voyles, Jennifer Lukemeyer and Michael Miner. Soto will be represented by Scott Lennox. Also involved in the case of indictment is Kevin Bronson, who is currently serving a sentence in Kosciusko County Jail. Bronson was confirmed as indigent by the court March 8 and will have a public defender, but one has not yet been appointed. All three individuals were arrested in a grand jury indictment in February. All three are expected to be present in Kosciusko County Circuit Court May 9 at 3 p.m. for a pre-trial hearing.
