Roundup Headlined By Triton's Loss In Bi-County Semis

LAKEVILLE – Triton was outscored 13-0 from the free throw line in a 41-32 loss to Culver in the Bi-County Tournament semifinals at LaVille.
The Lady Trojans did make four more shots from beyond the arc than Culver. Becca Kennedy and Hannah Wanemacher had a pair of three-pointers each. Kennedy had a team-high eight points, and Wanemacher finished with six.
Kylie Mason scored seven points, Jaela Meister had five, Lauren Hostrawser four, and Nicole Sechrist two for Triton.
Now 12-7 on the season, Triton will play at Manchester at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Thursday in Fulton
Rachel Sand’s 14 points and 12 rebounds led Lakeland Christian Academy to a 33-29 win at Caston. Hannah Delp added nine points for the Lady Cougars.
Melissa Goss scored four points for LCA, with Carissa Urschalitz adding four points and pulling down five rebounds. Maryl Gerst had a basket to round out the scoring, and also had five rebounds.
LCA moves to 6-12 with the win and will host Traders Point Christian at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Swimming
Thursday in N. Manchester
Manchester’s swimming teams were swept by Fort Wayne Canterbury, with the girls dropping a 103-52 decision and the boys drawing closer, 80-69.
Claire Barnett won the 50 freestyle race, and finished third in the 100 butterfly for the Lady Squires. Alexis Vernon won the 100 breaststroke, and Allison Smith finished second in both the 100 freestyle and the 100 backstroke.
The trio of Noah Cain, Colin Garcia and Cameron Calloway finished 1-2-3, respectively, in the 200 freestyle for the Squires. Garcia also won the 100 butterfly, and Cain finished second in the 100 freestyle. Evan Milam was a double winner, taking the 50 and 100 freestyle races.
The teams will travel to Wabash to take on the Apaches on Tuesday in a meet originally scheduled for Jan. 7.
