MENTONE - Rosie B. Hyden, 69, of 115 W. Broadway St., Burket, went to be with the Lord at 1:10 a.m. July 31, 2007, in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne.
She was born May 2, 1938, in Floyd County, Ky., to Wilburn and Tennessee Hamilton Conn. On July 17, 1959, in Lancer, Ky., she married Glen "Mutt" Hyden, who survives.
She was a homemaker.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sheila Humble, Burket; a grandson, Jeff (and wife Molly) Humble, Burket; six sisters, Lexie Stephens, Pierceton, and Loretta Risner, Eunice Sammons, Joanna Lafferty, Mrs. Carl (Marcelene) Hyden and Mrs. Sherman (Linda) Martin, all of Kentucky; three brothers, Curtis Conn, David (and wife Patricia) Conn and Troy (and wife Joan) Conn, all of Kentucky; and greatly loved by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two infant sisters.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, with Pastor Carl Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. conducted by Pastor Wayne Whitaker.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
