SYRACUSE – Rosemary C. Gerrity, 89, Syracuse, passed away at 2:10 a.m. Oct. 25, 2014, at the Gardens at Lake City, Warsaw. She was born May 13, 1925, in Chicago, Ill., to John C. and Blanche M. Ryan Snoreck. On May 2, 1945, in Chicago, she married Raymond T. “Ray” Gerrity, who preceded her in death April 18, 1993. She graduated in 1943 from Kelly High School in Chicago. She moved to the Syracuse area in 1977 from Massachusetts and formerly worked at Globe Mills, Chicago; H&R Block, Warsaw, for 10 years; Rice Ford, Warsaw, for six years; and Project Safe for 17 years. She was a member of St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church, Syracuse, and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. She was a member of the Warsaw Elks Lodge Auxiliary, and served as secretary for the Women’s International Bowling Congress for many years. Surviving are a daughter, Pattie (and spouse Rick) Marlow, Syracuse; a son, William “Bill” (and spouse Susan) Gerrity, North Webster; three grandchildren: Krystalle and Kyle Johnson, and William “JR” Gerrity; a sister, Patricia (and spouse Lowell) Culp, Syracuse; and a brother, Harry (and spouse Marie) Snoreck, Andover, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Peggy Pliska; and three brothers: Charles, John and Billy Snoreck. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, with Father Phil Devolder, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, officiating.
