CHESTERTON – Rosemarie Glasgow, 80, of Burns Harbor, passed away Oct. 15, 2011, in her residence.

She was born Oct. 10, 1931, in Munster, to Michael and Agnes Putz Schaller, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 7, 1950, in Hammond, she married Albert A. Glasgow, who preceded her in death.

She was a resident of Hammond for 30 years, moving to Warsaw 1989 at Hoffman Lake. In 2007, she left behind many special friends and extended family to move to Burns Harbor to be closer to her family. She was a member of Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church. She worked for H&R Block for 10 years and was a representative for Avon for more than 25 years.  She and her husband enjoyed doing arts and crafts and attended many festivals throughout the area. She was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts and served as a leader for many years. She also loved to do canning and fishing with her family. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who attended and supported all of her family’s endeavors.

Surviving are her daughters: Leann (and spouse Michael) Perrine, Burns Harbor; Patricia (and spouse Robbie) Niemela, Tooele, Utah; and Debra (and spouse Scott) Germain, LaCrosse; a brother, Michael (and spouse Margie) Schaller, Griffith; a sister, Jeanette (and spouse Eddie) Zolper, Lowell; a brother-in-law, Larry  Glasgow, Gary; sisters-in-law, Maudie (and spouse Norman) Kostoff, Hammond, and Betty Susko, Highland; mother-in-law, Beulah Glasgow, Highland; 12 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a son, Albert Earl Glasgow; father-in-law, Earl Glasgow; brothers- and sisters-in-law, James and Patricia Glasgow, Joan Glasgow and Steve Susko.

Services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, with the Rev. Jane Aicher officiating. Cremation will be performed by Heritage Crematory, Portage, with burial of ashes at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hammond, at a later date.

Calling is from 11 a.m. until the time of service  Saturday at the funeral home.
