Rose R. Valdez, 57, of Claypool, passed away at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
She was born on Nov. 10, 1961, to Edelmiro and Alice Richwalski Hernandez in Hammond. She was married on Dec. 28, 1999, to Jose Valdez in Las Vegas, Nev.
Rose was a homemaker who loved to cook, enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears and going to the casinos, and also enjoyed Christmas movies, music or anything to do with the spirt of Christmas all year round.
She is survived by her husband, Jose Valdez, Claypool; sons, Kevin Mitchuson, North Manchester, and Keith Mitchuson, DeMotte; a daughter, Josie Valdez, Claypool; her brothers, Eddie and Robert Hernandez; and her sisters, Jackie Semon and Debra Abbott.
She was preceded by her parents and a brother.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. The service will be conducted by family and friends.
There is no interment.
