Rose-Marie Johanna Lange, 63, of Nokomis, Fla., and formerly of Syracuse, died Oct. 22, 2009, in Tidewell Hospice House, Venice, after a four-year battle with cancer.
She was born June 10, 1946, in Berlin, Germany, to Erich and Johanna Mueller Rothbart. On June 10, 1966, in Berlin, she married Eugene G. Lange, who survives.
A longtime resident of the area and a massage therapist, she moved to Venice, Fla., in 2005. She was a member of Bethany Church of the Brethren, New Paris; Venice Community Church of the Brethren, Florida; and the American Massage Therapy Association.
Also surviving are three daughters: Kristina (and spouse Criss) Edwards, Chicago, Ill.; Monica (and spouse Daniel) Smith, Fishers; and Erika (and spouse Jeffrey) Humel, Fortville; six grandchildren; and a sister, Marlis (and spouse Kurt) Sohn, Berlin.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Bethany Church of the Brethren, New Paris, with Pastor Tim Sollenberger Morphew officiating.
Calling is from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the church.
