SYRACUSE – Rose Home, a women’s recovery home in Syracuse, is seeking donations from the community. The Rose Home is a not-for-profit recovery home for women struggling with addictions. The program is a spiritually based, 12-step program of recovery. It generally serves both Kosciusko and Elkhart counties, although women from other surrounding counties have also resided there. Presently, the home is at capacity. Businesses and individuals who would like to donate are encouraged to drop off donations at Steffen Real Estate, 909 Huntington St., Syracuse. Questions also may be emailed to mackmom3@aol.com General household items needed include bleach, light bulbs, bleach wipes, paper towels, disinfectant spray, toilet paper, floor cleaner, aluminum foil, furniture polish, laundry soap, rags. zip lock bags (all sizes), mops and brooms, liquid hand soap and a vacuum. Lawn, outdoor and personal item needs include a lawn mower, shampoo. rakes, conditioner, shovels, feminine products, gardening tools , various hair products, gardening gloves and and sanitizer. Office supplies needed include printer paper, pens, pencils, business envelopes. postage stamps, highlighters, manilla file folders, 3-inch binders, 180-page spiral notebooks, dividers with write on tabs and four-drawer locking file cabinet.
