AKRON – Rose E. Norman, 78, of Warsaw, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 11, 1940, in Fulton County, to John F. and Dorothy P. Parker Kuhn. On March 21, 1958, in Akron, she was married to Charles L. Norman. He died on July 28, 1966.

Rose was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Akron High School in 1958.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  She enjoyed collecting cookie jars and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Charles Lee Norman Jr. (and wife Mary Kay), Chesapeake, Va., and Carl LeRoy Norman (and wife Deborah), Punta Gorda, Fla.; daughters, Chrystal Burton (and husband Kim), Peru, and Cheryl Norman, Kenosha, Wis.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ella Mae Young, Lapel, and Ruth Evelyn McClaughlin, Kalamazoo, Mich.; and a brother, Jerry Kuhn (and wife Mary Ann), North Manchester.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dorothy Kuhn; husband, Charles Norman; a special friend, Keith Wagner; sisters Donna Yoder and Wilma Creager; and brothers Ted Kuhn, Frank Kuhn, Michael Kuhn, Larry Kuhn and Terry Kuhn.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, in Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron. The Rev. Evan Strong will officiate, and burial will be in Akron Cemetery.

Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Hartzler Funeral Home.
