The owner of an Atwood roofing company may have lost more than he first thought after an employee took money from his business.
Ken Collins, of Bambi's Roofing, reported to police that he recently found yet another unauthorized check cashed - this one for $2,700. The check was issued by Christy Grogg, an employee convicted in July of taking more than $200,000 from the roofing company.
The check was made out to another female employee of Bambi's Roofing, Collins told police. Collins characterized the other employee as a friend of Grogg's. The check was issued and cashed in September 2002.
The woman who cashed the $2,700 check quit her job the day Grogg was fired, Collins told police.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident.
