Ronald L. Standley Sr., 66, formerly of Warsaw, died Oct. 25, 2011, after a short battle with lung cancer while in New Mexico.
He was born Aug. 25,1945, in Helper, Utah, to Monty and Edith Standley, who preceded him in death.
He worked at Dalton Corp., Warsaw, for 20 years.
Surviving are a son, Ronald Standley Jr., Winchester, Ky.; a step-daughter, Brenda (and spouse Dave) Snyder, Wichita, Kan.; three step-sons: John Whitmyer Jr., Elkhart; Tim Whitmyer, Jimtown; and Andy Whitmyer, Mishawaka; two grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Willene (and spouse Jack) Wise, Provo, Utah; Virginia Marsh, Richfield, Utah; and Sharon (and spouse Tony)Cordova, Farmington, N.M.; and two brothers, Wayne Standley, West Virginia, and Jerry (and spouse Catherine) Standley, Richfield. He also was preceded in death by two brothers and a son.
Cremation has taken place in New Mexico. There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Dec.19 at Warsaw Community Church.
