Ronald L. Christy, 64, Warsaw, passed away at 5:32 a.m. Oct. 16, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 8, 1949, in Seattle, Wash., to Charles W. and Sula Slagle Christy. On Dec. 7, 1985, he married Wendy Okun, who survives in Warsaw.
He was a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 35 years, where he retired as a purchasing agent from Zimmer Inc. in 2009 after 30 years of employment. He received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and his master’s degree in business administration from Butler University. He attended Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, where he led the prayer ministry. He was a member of N.A.P.M., and authored two Christian books, “Zyglo Inquiry” and “The Holy War of Faith.”
Also surviving is his daughter Angela Christy, Warsaw; a son, Matthew Christy, Laramie, Wyo.; and his brother, David Christy, Greenwood. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sandra Christy, who passed away Aug. 5, 2009.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, 1200 Kings Highway, Winona Lake, with Pastor Bruce Barlow officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
