LAPORTE - Ronald E. Jared, 69, of LaPorte, and formerly of Warsaw, died March 6, 2009, in LaPorte Hospital.
He was born Aug. 14, 1939, in Sullivan, to Carl Jared and Thelma Thompson Jared. On Dec. 24, 1959, in Sullivan, he married Joyce Gosnell, who survives.
He lived in the LaPorte area most of his life.
Also surviving are a son, Kevin (and spouse Joyce) Jared, Virginia Beach, Va.; four daughters: Tammy (and spouse Kevin) Bargholz and Kim (and spouse Kevin) Novak, all of LaPorte; Crystal Kissling; and Tracy (and spouse Thomas) Todd, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alice Scott, Illinois; and Nellie Spurgeon, Florida; and a brother, Dennis Jared, Ohio. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
No service is planned. There will be cremation.
Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte.
