Roger W. Peter, 87, Warsaw passed away at 3:43 p.m. Nov. 17, 2013, at his residence. He was born Dec. 30, 1925, in New York City, N.Y., to Challes and Priscilla Lowit Peter. On June 11, 1955, in Buffalo, N.Y., he was united in marriage to Nancy Meyer, who preceded him in death. He was an engineer in manufacturing. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Surviving are four children: Robert W. Peter Jr., Mesquite, Nev.; Linda Sumpter, Lori Adams and Lisa (and spouse Gary) Miller, all of Warsaw; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Services will be held at a later date with interment in Oakwood Cemetery.
