NAPPANEE – Roger Allen Greenawalt, 78, of Nappanee, died at 1:47 p.m. Dec. 23, 2012, in St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis, after an extended illness. He was born Jan. 29, 1934, in Nappanee, to Donald and Maymie Rohrer Greenawalt. On July 12, 1954, in Elizabethtown, Ky., he married Kathryn Thomas, who survives. He lived his lifetime in the area. He graduated from Nappanee High School. He was a farmer and cabinet maker. He had worked in several factories: Studebakers, Mutschler Brothers, Coppes Kitchens, Excel, Creative Dimensions, and Liberty Coach. Also surviving are two sons, Randy Greenawalt, Atlanta, Ga., and Jeffrey (and spouse Faye) Greenawalt, Nappanee; two daughters, Pamela (and spouse Bryan) Balasa, Mendon, Mich., and Lori (and spouse Rick) Cox, Etna Green; five grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, with the Rev. Bryan Balasa officiating.
