Roger Alan Dunlap, 64, of Leesburg, died Aug. 22, 2009, in his residence, with his loving wife at his side.
He was born Nov. 1, 1944, in Fort Wayne, to Robert Martin and Marie Crowell Dunlap. On July 26, 1980, in Fort Wayne, he married Sylvia Lee "Susie" Straley, who survives.
He was a salesman for Pretty Pillow Co., Warsaw, and was a member of North Webster American Legion Post 253. He lived in the North Webster area for 30 years coming from Fort Wayne. He entered the U.S. Army Feb. 5, 1963, in Indianapolis, and was honorably discharged Jan. 27, 1966, in Fort Hamilton, N.Y.
Also surviving are a son, James Dunlap, Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter, Natalie Dunlap, Germany; and an aunt, Eleanor Klenke, Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sharon Haredeen.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 609 Putnam St., Fort Wayne, with the Rev. L. Stephen Cain, of the church, officiating.
