ALBUQUERQUE, N.M - Roena Mason Williams, 80, of Albuquerque, N.M., died March 1, 2011.

She was born March 22, 1930, in Plymouth, to Ralph and Avis Iden Mason. She married Jack Doyle, who survives.

She lived in Albuquerque since 1951. She graduated from Etna Green High School in 1948 and attended Indiana University from 1948-51. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She then transferred to the University of New Mexico, where she received her degree in 1955. During the summer of 1953, she was a "Harvey Girl" at the Bright Angel Lodge at the Grand Canyon. She taught for Albuquerque Public Schools until her retirement in 1984.

Also surviving are two daughters, Althea McAneney and Mary (and spouse Endre) Zsigmond; and three grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place and services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Monroe's Restaurant, 6501 Osuna Blvd. NE, Albuquerque. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
