I have known Rocky Goshert for 17 years. I hold Rocky in very high regard as a person and as an administrator.
In 2009 my husband, Sgt. Jeff Shaw, was killed in the line of duty. At such a tragic time in our children's life and mine, I knew that I could call upon Rocky at any time day or night and he would help my children and me through the situation or direct me to where or who I needed to talk to. Rocky Goshert made it possible for my children and me, along with officers from the sheriff's department, to attend the National Law Enforcement Police Officers Memorial that is held in Washington, D.C., every May for officers around the United States that have been killed in the line of duty.
I feel as though Rocky has the best qualifications to continue as sheriff of Kosciusko County due to his 20-plus years with the State Police, 17 years at Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department as a deputy, a road supervisor and sheriff.
Rocky loves to coach and mentor the youth in our community to be a positive influence.
In closing, I hope you take the time to get out and vote on May 8 and choose Rocky Goshert to continue to be our sheriff of Kosciusko County for the next four years.
