Robert V. Ferris, 85, Warsaw, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Nov. 28, 2013, at his residence. He was born Oct. 13, 1927, in Pleasant Lake, to James and Mabel Huffman Ferris. On Aug. 18, 1946, in Pleasant Lake, he married Betty L. Baker, who survives. He graduated from high school in 1945 in Pleasant Lake. He was an elder with the Jehovah’s Witnesses. He retired in 2002 as a real estate agent. Also surviving are four children: Steve (and spouse Diann) Ferris, Plano, Texas; Joe (and spouse Carrie) Ferris, Webberville, Mich.; Carol Ferris, Warsaw; and Linda (and spouse John) Welton, Morton, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Max. Services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3191 W. CR 200S, Warsaw. Cremation has taken place. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
