Robert Stanley Miller, 86, Warsaw, passed away at 10:54 p.m.  Oct. 14, 2015, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.
He was born March 14, 1929, in Wagner, Mont., to William and Leah Schuerman Miller. In 1974 in Culver he was united in marriage to Jan Parker, who survives in Warsaw. They were married for 41 years.
He moved to Culver in 1956 after serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.  He worked for International Harvester, Chicago, then returned home to work on the farm. He was a wildcatter on oil rigs in southern Indiana and Illinois. He also worked for a tire shop, Countrymark Co-op and then for Walmart for 13 years. He was a member of Leesburg Grace Brethren Church, VFW, American Legion, The Moose Lodge and Lions Club, all in Culver.
Also surviving are three sons, Cory (and spouse Jodi) Miller, Denver, N.C., Christopher “Kip” (and spouse Angela) Miller, Warsaw, and Robert (and spouse Darci) Miller, Monticello; his brother, Clifford Miller, Chehalis, Wash.; his sister, Gladys Kohoutek, Yuma, Ariz., and seven grandchildren: Ryan, Sydney, Shane, Savannah, Nicholas, Allen and Logan. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Frank Miller, Harold Miller and Edward Miller; and three sisters, Katherine Miller, Dorothy Welch and Helen Brubaker.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Tim Sprankle officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military honors by the American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126, Warsaw.
Calling will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel.
