Robert S. Bennett, 46, Atwood, passed away at 5:12 p.m. May 2, 2015, at his residence. He was born Feb. 8, 1969, in Warsaw, to Stephen and Linda Hopkins Bennett. On Sept. 1, 1990, in Warsaw, he married Brooke Howard, who survives. A lifetime resident of Warsaw, he worked as a polisher for Helser’s Metal Finishing, Warsaw. He was a member of Fraternal Order of the Eagles and was at one time a trustee. He enjoyed NASCAR, of which he was a fan of Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr., golfing, sprint car racing, the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. He loved riding his motorcycle, and he loved his family. Also surviving are two daughters, Morgan Linae and Melanie Sue Bennett, both of Atwood; one grandson, Carson Ryan James Blackburn, Atwood; his parents, Stephen and Linda Bennett, Atwood; two brothers, Stephen Ray (and spouse Teresa Wilson) Bennett, North Webster, and Kevin C. (and spouse LeAnn) Bennett, Warsaw; a sister, Penny (and spouse Steve) Thomas, Chapman Lake; his mother-in-law, Sue Howard, Columbia City; a sister-in-law, Michelle (and spouse Joel) Roberson, Panama City, Fla.; and a brother-in-law, Lincoln (and spouse Marisa) Howard, Avon. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Daniel Howard. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Barry Faucett officiating.
